– Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology
– Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology
– Pediatric Allergy and Immunology
– Pediatric Neurology
– Pediatric Nephrology and Dialysis
– Pediatric Rheumatology
– Pediatric Hematology
– Pediatric Solid Oncology
These programs present a unique opportunity for aspiring medical professionals to further their expertise in these specialized fields of pediatrics, guided by experienced doctors of their field.
About the UMC –NUSOM Fellowship Programs:
A pediatric fellowship is the subspecialist training in the field of pediatric disciplines, received after the completion of a post-graduate residency program officially recognized in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During a pediatric fellowship, the physician (or “fellow”) works closely with a specialist to deepen their experience and knowledge of their subspecialty.
This Program is offered to doctors specialized in General Pediatrics (namely, those who completed a residency program in General Pediatrics at NUSOM or in another residency program accredited by the Ministry of Health)

Duration of the program is 2 years
At the end of the program, you will get a qualification of pediatric subspecialist in the above listed pediatric subspecialties.
Application Process:
Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications for the Fellowship Program. The application period begins on October 1 and closes on October 20. Please ensure you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- A completed residency in general pediatrics or other residency program accredited by the Ministry of Health .
- IELTS with overall score 6.5
- A strong academic record.
- Certificate of specialist in general pediatrics or other specialty
- Letters of recommendation from at least two faculty members or mentors.
- A well-crafted personal statement outlining your career goals and motivation to join the chosen fellowship program.
Important Dates:
- Application Period: October 1 – October 20, 2023
- Interview Period: October 23-25, 2023
- Program Start Date: November 6, 2023
