«University Medical Center» Corporate Fund combines three innovative healthcare facility
who are holders of the “golden standart” quality Joint Commission International.

Joint Commission International (hereinafter – JCI) accreditation is the most objective and prestigious international certification in the field of healthcare, which is considered the “gold standard” of quality and is a confirmation of the compliance of a medical organization with internationally accepted medical and administrative standards, as well as requirements for ensuring international patient safety goals. To date, more than 800 hospitals are accredited according to JCI standards in the world.

The National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health of the corporate foundation “University Medical Center” is the first clinic in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which in March 2012 passed the accreditation program for inpatient organizations according to JCI standards.

In April 2015, the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health of the corporate foundation “University Medical Center” was re-accredited by JCI, receiving 9.9 points out of 10, thereby confirming that it successfully supports all processes to ensure continuous improvement of the quality and safety of patients.

The Republican Diagnostic Center of the Corporate Foundation “University Medical Center” is the first outpatient organization in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which in May 2014 successfully passed the accreditation program for outpatient organizations according to JCI standards. For the period of 2016, around the world, only 126 outpatient organizations in 23 countries have a certificate of compliance with international JCI standards.

The National Children’s Rehabilitation Center of the Corporate Foundation “University Medical Center” is the only rehabilitation Center in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which in May 2014 successfully passed the accreditation program for organizations providing long-term medical care according to JCI standards. For the period of 2016 around the world, only 32 organizations in 12 countries have a certificate of compliance with international JCI standards.

In 2021, the UMC corporate fund again confirmed its compliance with international standards and successfully passed the JCI re-accreditation procedure.

The JCI certificate was awarded to the UMC corporate foundation after intensive inspections carried out by international reputable inspectors. In addition to clinical departments, testing procedures, medical practices, auditors carefully examined the infrastructure and facilities at the disposal of patients and hospital staff, including parking, support systems, as well as laboratories, pharmacies.
