The II Kazakhstan Neonatal Symposium “Bobek” was held at the University Medical Center clinics | Корпоративный фонд "University Medical Center"

On March 13 and 14, the II Kazakhstan Neonatal Symposium “Bobek” was held at the University Medical Center clinics. The event was attended by about 500 medical specialists, healthcare workers, neonatologists, young specialists and professors. More than 1,500 participants joined the online format of the conference.

The intense program included presentations of speakers and experts from different regions, countries of the near and far abroad. At the Mother and Child Center UMC, speakers shared their experiences of caring for premature babies, prescribing parenteral nutrition, preventing and treating respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, and applying new therapies in practice. The workshops also covered practical aspects of parenteral nutrition and basic skills of ultrasound examination of the heart in newborns.

At the Heart Center UMC, special attention was paid to the nursing service and comprehensive care for young patients. Nursing specialists discussed modern approaches to newborn care, intensive care measures, adaptation of new employees and opportunities in professional development. The conference also included a round table discussion on infection control measures and methods to reduce pain and stress in patients.

The Diagnostic Center UMC hosted a competition for clinical cases of young scientists, where young specialists demonstrated their knowledge, clinical thinking and skills in managing complex cases from their own practice. The competition was aimed at developing scientific activity, sharing experiences and supporting promising researchers in the field of neonatology.
