On June 12-13, Turkestan hosted the II Kurultay of Cardiologists of the Turkic states and the XVII Congress of Cardiologists of Kazakhstan with international participation.
The event brought together leading experts from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as experts from Russia, Belarus, Germany, Austria, and Italy to discuss topical issues of modern cardiology and present the latest approaches and research in the treatment of heart diseases.
UMC specialists took an active part in this event, acting as moderators and speakers at a number of key sections and meetings on CHF, atherosclerosis, dyslipoproteinemia, the treatment of patients with cancer, acute coronary syndrome and endovascular treatment of structural pathologies, as well as pediatric cardiology and arrhythmology, EchoCG.
During the congress, a number of specialists received the professional award “Aq Jurek” – a symbol of dedication to the profession and caring for every heart. This award was given to Abdurashid Mussayev, Head of the Catheterization Laboratory at the UMC Heart Center.
Also, within the framework of the congress, a resident competition and a competition among young scientists were held. UMC residents took an active part and won the honorable first place. The team included Jumazhan Aldanysh, Alua Maratova, Aigerim Malikova, Zhandos Maksut, Aruzhan Abdilda. And Baurzhan Aipov was awarded in the competition of young scientists.
