Analysis results We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellowship Program at the Nazarbayev University School of Medicine (NUSOM) in collaboration with the “University Medical Center” corporate fund (UMC) for the program “Maternal-Fetal Medicine”
This program presents a unique opportunity for aspiring medical professionals to enrich their expertise in Obstetrics and Gynecology, guided by experienced doctors of the respective fields.
About the NUSOM-UMC Fellowship Program:
An Obstetrics and Gynecology fellowship is the subspecialist training in the field of Ob&Gyn disciplines, received after the completion of a post-graduate residency program officially recognized in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During a Ob&Gyn fellowship, the physician (or “fellow”) works closely with a specialist to deepen their experience and knowledge of their subspecialty.
This Program is offered to doctors specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology (namely, those who completed a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NUSOM or another residency program recognized by the Ministry of Health)

Duration of the program is 2 years
At the end of the program, you will get a qualification of the subspecialist in the above listed subspecialties.
Application Process:
Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications for the Fellowship Program. The application period begins on April 3, 2025 and closes on May 3, 2025.
Please ensure you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- A completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology recognized by the Ministry of Health .
- IELTS with overall score 6.0 (not below 5.5 of any component)
- A strong academic/residency record.
- Certificate of specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Letters of recommendation from at least two faculty members or mentors/clinical preceptors
- A well-crafted personal statement outlining your career goals and motivation to join the chosen fellowship program.

Eligible candidate will be interviewed.

- Interview Period: May 8, 2025.
